Please DO NOT disconnect any of the cables from the Kandao.
DO NOT log in with your zoom or any other account to the Kandao applications.
Please use a computer to mirror the screens and host the meeting.
[A paper copy of these instructions can be found in the drawer with remote and adapters.]
Connect the following to the host's computer. Use adapters, which can be found in the drawer, if needed:
The USB from Kandao to your computer - This will allow the Zoom meeting to use the camera from Kandao. (It is the one from the side of the Kandao with only one connection.)
AND
The HDMI from the TV to your computer - This will mirror the computer to the TV. Show the zoom meeting window in full screen so everyone can see the other participates that are joining remotely. (This one comes out of the whole of the conference table near the TV.)
Connecting with Zoom:
Using the remote control (which can be found in the drawer) or the button on top, turn on the Kandao and uncover the camera.
Launch the Zoom Meeting AFTER you have connect all your cables.
The microphone, speaker, and video settings should ALL be "Kandao Meeting Ultra"
IMPORTANT: Make sure to uncheck "Blur my background" and remove any virtual backgrounds so everyone can be visible in the conference room.
Camera Settings:
On the Kandao's screens (they are touchscreen), you can adjust the camera views to your liking:
View 1 GLOBAL - Panoramic (global) view in two 180° images to see everyone present at all times.
View 2 GALLERY - Show a few people present. (The Kandao switches views when it recognizes someone is speaking.) You can decide how many participants to show with "Gallery View"
View 3 SPEAKER - Highlighting the speaker automatically detected by Kandao, as well as showing other people present. Like view 2, you can pick how many people to show with "Gallery View"You can toggle "360 Panorama" on or off if you would like to show (or not) all the participants in the room at all time.
Audio/Mic Settings:
Use the remote control or the buttons on top of the Kandao to adjust the audio levels. There are built in speakers in the Kandao.
The remote control has a mute button should you wish to mute the audio to online participants. When the mic is OFF, the light under the camera on the Kandao is RED.
NOTE: Conference room participants will only see all the participants via Zoom on the TV screen. The Kandao screens will only show the people present in the room.
Participants joining via Zoom will see conference room participants in the host's video.
There are a few "blind area" that the focus cameras have a hard time picking up, notably the two ends of the table (closest to the window and closest to the TV). However, the mic should pick up anyone speaking at a reasonable volume from anywhere in the room.
Please make sure to cover the camera with the protective cap and turn off the Kandao before you leave :)
